Usibelli applied to explore for shallow gas on 208,000 acres near Healy on lands that encompassed many residential areas and a significant portion of the Wolf Townships. DCC opposed development on these lands, less than half of the total offering.

The kick-off meeting for the Denali Area Airport study is taking place this Thursday, April 18, 5-7pm at the Aurora Denali Lodge in Healy. This study is a needs assessment for the Denali Borough that will also recommend infrastructure improvements.
