ASAP gas pipeline developers meeting in Healy on Tuesday June 12th
We received a phone call from the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) last week, inviting the DCC Board to a public meeting on Tuesday June 12th in Healy. Those who follow Alaska politics will remember that AGDC is conducting an Environmental Impact analysis of the proposed construction of a gas pipeline from the north slope to southcentral Alaska, alongside the Parks Highway. The Alaska Senate recently refused to grant this project $400 million for additional work toward the line. However, the AGDC still has money. We expect the Tuesday night meeting to provide information on what the AGDC is planning to accomplish in the Denali Borough with the funds it still has. Plan to attend this meeting if you are in the area. Food and door prizes are offered. Read more in the flyer below.
