Decline of Park Wolves and a Novel Solution
Barbara Brease wrote the attached articles for the most recent DCC News. The first article provides a great deal of information on the status of wolves in Denali, their decline over the past few years, and recent efforts by a citizens group to create a wildlife buffer on state lands adjacent to the park. The second one is a personal reaction to the type of modern, high tech trapping and predator hunting that occurs at the boundary of the park in the year 2013.
