DCC Comments on Mountain House EA

The National Park Service is accepting comments through June 6, 2019, on an Environmental Assessment for actions that would accommodate access to the private inholding on the Ruth Glacier that is the site for the Mountain House and new Sheldon Chalet. DCC is alarmed at both the preferred NPS response and precedent it sets for permitting new uses that would further (and unnecessarily) damage already-impaired wilderness values and natural soundscapes.
