DCC Comments on Winter-Shoulder Season Plan

This NPS planning effort at Denali has been sparked by increasing visitation in the winter and shoulder seasons at the park. Like with the Kantishna-Wonder Lake planning effort, NPS has been gathering information on a range of possible actions prior to developing an actual plan and accompanying environmental compliance documents. Unlike with the Kantishna-Wonder Lake plan, DCC finds the exploration here to be within reasonable bounds, and applauds NPS for recognizing upfront the value of the winter wilderness experience at Denali.
