DCC signs onto comments questioning new state pesticide regulations

Two prominent Alaska watchdog organizations, Alaska Community Action on Toxics and Trustees for Alaska, recently prepared detailed comments questioning the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation proposal to change permitting regulations for the use of pesticides. Both sets of comments raised strong legal, biological and public process objections to the changes. The comments are available at the links below.

The kick-off meeting for the Denali Area Airport study is taking place this Thursday, April 18, 5-7pm at the Aurora Denali Lodge in Healy. This study is a needs assessment for the Denali Borough that will also recommend infrastructure improvements.
