Public Comments Needed on NEON Lease & Easement

The State of Alaska is considering issuing an easement and a lease to NEON, Inc. for an ecological monitoring station off of the Stampede Road between the Panguingue subdivision and Eightmile Lake. NEON proposes to establish the re-locatable ecological observation station approximately 2,100 feet off the south side of Stampede Road near mile 5.7. The proposed observation station will consist of an instrumentation hut, tower, soil array, boardwalk, and below grade utility lines. The proposed lease will contain the instrument hut, observation tower, and soil array. The proposed easement will contain the boardwalk and utility lines.
