Bike and Hike by the Nenana
The National Park Service is proposing to build an 8-mile multi-use trail and a 9-mile hiking trail in the Nenana River corridor between Riley Creek and the new turn-out and trailhead at Mile 231 of the Parks Highway. The multi-use trail would be open to cyclists, and would complete one segment of a long-discussed bike trail through the Denali Borough. DCC is supportive of the NPS’s proposed action, although we did raise a few concerns and make a few suggestions. Comments on the project’s Environmental Assessment are due March 30.
