Celebrate DCC’s 50th Anniversary!

The Denali Citizens Council was founded in 1974 to advocate for the expansion of Mount McKinley National Park. After the passage of the Alaska National Interest Land Conservation Act in 1980, the group continued to urge elected and appointed officials to adopt policies that would achieve the inspirational vision of ANILCA by fully protecting the wilderness values and intact natural ecosystem of the expanded and renamed Denali National Park and Preserve. Over time, DCC evolved into grassroots conservation voice for the Denali area.

In summer 2024, we will look both backward and forward – at the organization’s past and its future as well as celebrating the organization’s 50 years of activism. Join us for 3 days of inspirational words, music, food, visiting with friends, and spending time in the park.
