DCC asks DOT to analyze Antler Creek Gravel Pit Carefully

Please click the link below to read our comments to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities on a permit re-authorization to expand a former gravel extraction site near the head of the Nenana Canyon and east of the Parks Highway. We stressed the importance of Scenic Byway designation for the Parks Highway, the importance of this area as a viewshed, problems associated with reclamation and safety issues around increased truck traffic.
